Statistics on Casualties in Afrin: DCHRK

ERBIL – Democracy Center for Human Rights in Kurdistan (DCHRK) revealed the statistics on the casualties on the 25th day of the Turkish assault on Syrian Kurdish city of Afrin.

According to the center’s release, the Turkish artillery units on the 25th day continued on bombarding the region and several clashes between the Turkish army and the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) fighters occurred in a number of villages around the town of Jandarees in Afrin Canton.

“Due to the Turkish bombardments on the enclave of Afrin on Tuesday, at least 4 civilians were killed and 10 others were injured,” reads the center’s statement.

On January 20, the Turkish army has launched a new air and ground operation on Afrin, dubbed “Olive Branch”.
